Birds do it, bees do it and apparently 1 in 3 men do it. It's not even a shocking revelation any more. But why? Is there anything that we as women can do to prevent it? Are we destined to live our lives with cheatin' men? Not that women don't do their fair share of dirt...this just ain't about that.
Some would say that young love is just that; immature, uncertain, under-developed emotions that stir participants into blind and reckless behavior. This could be an taken as a generalization or stereotype, neither of which reflect one's ability for rational thought while in love. But when has love ever been rational or logical? How many times have we been told to listen to our hearts, even when every other body part is speaking a different language. Have you ever been in love and it made no sense at all? Did you stop? Why not?
Fear of intimacy is different than fear of commitment. You can be married and not know your partner emotionally, intellectually, or spiritually. In fact, loneliness in marriage is more difficult than being lonely as a single person or widow. Marital loneliness springs from fear of intimacy in one or both partners. What causes this phobia and what can be done to prevent or stop it?
There's nothing like an old thing with a new twist. Recently in California the very first proclaimed "green speed dating" event took place. So, in addition to dating 10-20 different people in one night and not have to buy one single drink. You also get to fill up your three minutes with stories about how "green" you are. Is niche dating the way of the future? Personally, I'd like to host an "interracial-green-pet-loving-tall guys who love short women with big butts" speed dating event...any takers?
