I don't think I would delete my profile even if I found someone here. I've made lots of good friends here and chat is always fun so I would want to stay in touch. I would just say on my profile that I'm taken and not looking just here to hang with friends. Although I'm sure that's a long way off.

Love the tips! These are the things I try to tell my friends just getting started with internet dating, but for some reason they have a really hard time following them. They waste a lot of time talking to and meeting men who don't fit what they're looking for at ALL. Well, different strokes, I guess. Not everyone has the patience to be picky or to wait out the lonely times (even though in the end it's SO worth it). But glad to see you and I are on the same page on these how-tos!

I have come very close to deleting my profile and leaving the site.I am still in the process of doing it.Its not that I have found someone,just tired of the games and bs being put out and the men are not for real about dating black women,especially in my age range.

I understand why someone would want to delete their profile after finding someone they think is "The One", but how is that different from cutting off contact with your friends when you get a mate? I've made some friends here on the site and I wouldn't stop coming here just to soothe a jealous man's ego. Yeah, the goal is to find love, but not to forget everyone you met along the way.

For some, that is the real goal. For others, getting someone new to play their little games with is more fun, just to start it all over again a few days or months later. And what about the people who just pass their time here, but are married or in a relationship? How do you sift those out to find someone who is really looking for love?

You should delete your profile only if you know you want to delete your profile. If you make friends on here that is just a valuable as finding love.
Love comes in many different ways.

Tigerlilies and NFL24 the two of you present great comments/questions, I have been thinking the same thing. Maybe some of those people on here playin' around need to read/listen to this, then they will understand that people have standard and don't waste their time. It saddens me to see that many women and some men have literally had to "map" out how to approach them in their profiles because some are not respective of the profile parameters - so sad.
