Connections: How did you find our site?
Caffe21: Referral. Someone had suggested it to me in an e-mail.
Connections: Tell us about yourself and your interests.
Caffe21: I am a spiritual, sensitive, low-key, dramaless teacher and activist. Since my high school days, I have sought to find the commonalities among us as opposed to emphasizing the qualities that divide. I am 52 years of age, but don't feel it most days. I tend to maintain a "childlike" quality about me.
I enjoy peace in my life; smooth jazz is a must, as are good people and intelligent conversation. I like "being" the change I wish to see in life, and smiling a lot. I enjoy teaching, love traveling, gardening, cooking, writing, the arts, street festivals and fairs. Some of my random favorite things are : lakes, animals, green hills/woods; fireplaces; Caribbean seas; a perfectly chilled glass of pinot grigio; a strong cup of espresso in the morning at daybreak; incense of frankincense and myrrh; and making a difference in the lives of others.
Connections: What are you hoping to find on our site?
Caffe21: Ideally-- THE best friend and partner of my dreams who understands my mindset and who would like to blend and share lives. Realistically-- I can settle for a good friend....until the dream is realized, if it is meant to be.
Connections: What advice would you give anyone who was thinking of joining our site?
Caffe21: As with all Internet and Interracial relationships, know that it is the action that reveals the truth about a person. Words are easy to come by. And time will establish what and who to believe through the actions that ensue.
Connections: If you had to give yourself a motto in life, what would it be?
Caffe21: The meaning of life is to give life meaning. Each moment is precious. Nothing is promised. Tomorrow is not a given. Doesn't it make sense, then, to live your life in a NON frivolous way?
Connections: Anything else that you would like to say about the site, the members, or just life in general?
Caffe21: This site is a great forum welcoming people of like mind and attraction to truly get to know each other. It is always crucial however to be honest with yourself first and then with the others you encounter. Being honest with yourself and with others will bring you nothing but admiration.
Meeting online is fine as is talking on the phone. Establish parameters. What are you really looking for and are able to deliver? Truth is so easy and simple. It refuses to complicate your life and the lives of others you deal with. It streamlines everything and while it may put things into perspective, you will find that you have a clearer view of where elements in life need to be. Truth in your life and in your dealings with others can be a dependable equalizer. After that trust through truth has been established, taking it to the next level on this site or elsewhere in life through a mutually trustworthy basis can be rewarding and positive for both parties.
